Hey everyone,
As I’m sure most of you understand it’s rather tricky to get and keep the ball rolling when the Focus Filmworks team is separated from one another by as far as 90 miles. However, that being said, we are still trying to get everything going ready for Easter and summer. We plan on filming a lot over the next 12 months, as well as rebooting an old project of ours. Sure, we say this every year, but we’ve honestly never done more planning for a project before, even paid gigs. Distance is the only thing in the way right now.
Thankfully, even with the distance issue, we are able to continue with pre-production through multiple Skype meetings and constantly being in contact with one another, but when it comes down to production we are going to be very limited for time. I don’t have a lot of time to go home, where Jon and Max are, so when I’m back we try to make the most of the little time we get to spend together. With Jon and Max working a lot, it’s also difficult to prioritise FTA and any other projects we want to do over work and, in my case, university.
Jon and I have been talking a lot today and we’ve come up with a couple of new ideas to keep us motivated and to make other people show some kind of interest in us. Not only will this pump the audience up a bit (potentially) but it’ll mean we’ll have to follow through thus giving us some kind of driving force, which is nice.
The only thing I can really say right now is “Google Hangout,” “public production meetings” and “character stills.” We have more promotion ideas in the works, but we need to refine them a little more before we make a final decision. Those three, however, are going to be things eventually.
That’s all for now.
Bevan.
